Synonym: Deoban Fm, Gangolihat Fm (After the village Gangolihat in western Pithoragarh District).
Lithology and Thickness
In approximate Upper to Lower (descending) order: Ambota Fm Oolitic limestone, breccia, pink, purple, green limestone, stromatolitic limestone, dolostone, platy limestone with shale / Bohar Fm Bluish grey stromatolitic limestone, buff white dolostone, shale, calcareous siltstone, carbonaceous shale, gritty sandstone, conglomerate / Tiontar Fm Shale with thin arenite beds. Thickness highly variable, between the Tons and Jamuna valleys

Baicalia, Masloviella, Kussiella and Minjaria (Stromatolitic forms) Valdiya, 1969a of Middle Riphean age. Azmi and Paul 2004 reported Prohertzina anabania missarzhevskey, P. robusta Quian, P. siciformis missarzhevskey.
